I am interested in the natural history of microbes, their metabolisms, and reconciling the genetic and geologic records of ancient life. In the Bosak lab, my research is on the isotopic effects of green sulfur bacteria lipids and biomass grown under different carbon metabolisms, which has implications for interpreting their paleoecology and biomarker record.
