I’m interested in the origins and early evolution of life on Earth and elsewhere in the solar system. Particularly, I'm interested in historical geobiology, from the sedimentary and genomic records, as well as experiments on organic-mineral and microbe-mineral interactions in prebiotic and early Earth conditions.
In the Bosak Lab, I'm currently working on arsenic metabolism as a potential biosignature in oxygenic and anoxygenic phototrophic microbial mats and their significance in the ~2.7 Ga Tumbiana Formation stromatolites.
